Sharon Templeton of Manapouri has been having great success in recent months with her Lessing mare
TL Latanya (ex Torrence [Wohler II]), who was bred by Sonya Lemmens.

The 2012/13 season was TL Latanya’s first year competing in Registered Dressage.

Sharon says: “We have had a fantastic first season and are looking forward to the next one.”


  • TL Latanya had 14 Level 1 starts, for 5 wins, 2 x 2nds, 3 x 3rds, a 4th, 5th, 6th and a 10th.
  • She had 9 Level 2 starts, which resulted in 6 wins, 2 x 2nds and a 3rd=.
  • At the South Island Dressage Championships they placed second, third (twice), and sixth at Level 1, and TL Latanya was also second in the 5yo Young Dressage Horse Class.
  • TL Latanya won the Dressage Southland Level 1 Most Points prize (Was placed 4th in Level 2)
  • Sharon and TL Latanya also won Dressage Southland’s “Sultan Slaver” which is presented to the Southland rider over 21 with the highest percentage in a graded test over all levels. We got 75%.
  • The combination also won the Horse Vans NZ Ltd Rider Performance section C3, and were just pipped at the post for the amateur horse/rider class.

“I am absolutely stoked with my wee Lessing girl and would not hesitate to get my hands on another one or recommend him as a stallion to anyone,” Sharon says.
